Thousands of ducks descend on rice crops

Deniliquin 2710 Riverina Murray rice growers are battling thousands of ducks early in the growing season.It is estimated nearly 12 thousand hectares of rice had to be re-sown last year when ducks ate emerging crops.Colin McCrabb from near Deniliquin says he will be shooting until Christmas.He says last week's rain was the catalyst for the ducks return."One duck shooter we had estimated there was 2000 ducks on a 115 acre block," he said."So I ha...
