Finding a better route around inflexible Australia Post

In five years, online business owner Andrew Bruem has watched the price of his postage almost double. In 2008 Mr Bruem was paying $4.58 under a negotiated contract with Australia Post to send a four-kilogram package - a box of nappies - from Brookvale to any suburb in Sydney. Last year he was paying $8.61, an increase of 88 per cent. ''It is ridiculous for what they offer,'' he said.
