NSW Government says 95 per cent of dwellings excluded from new CSG mining

The New South Wales Government says more than 90 per cent of dwellings in the state will be excluded from any new coal seam gas activity. The government announced in February this year there would be a two-kilometre buffer zone placed around residential areas. Since then, the planning department has been conducting extensive mapping to set out the CSG exclusion zones. Planning Minister Brad Hazzard says the promised buffer zone will apply to 95 per cent of dwellings in the state.
