An aviation expert has revealed the Qantas A380 superjumbo jetliner that survived an engine explosion on November 4th could have been heading for serious trouble.

The Sydney Morning Herald has reported that an aviation engineering professor at RMIT University, Adrian Mouritz, said the aircraft was on the verge of disaster.

He said Qantas had been "lucky" that shrapnel from the Rolls Royce engine, which pierced a fuel pipe, did not strike a wing fuel tank on the giant Airbus.

Investigators later found debris from the damaged engine sticking through the wing.

The damage had pierced wiring, severed a main fuel pipe and punctured structural spars, ribs and wing service panels.

Professor Mouritz said thousands of gallons of jet fuel could have caught fire in the wings.

He said had the fuel ignited, the aircraft would have exploded.

The Rolls Royce Trent 900 engines that were on the Qantas plane are currently being investigated on all world airlines, with some of them already being replaced due to anomalies.

Qantas has already replaced three engines on its A380 jets and may need to replace others.

REAL MIRACLE!

Looks like a potential air disaster was averted!...If the professor is right..all the passengers have to thank GOD for this miracle!
If the plane had exploded..it would have shaken the airline industrya at large!
