Indian tourists outweigh US visitors to London

The Sydney News.Net
Sunday 6th July, 2008

The number of Indian tourists visiting Britain has grown by 170 percent since 1993.

According to local tourist records they are outspending the Americans and the Japanese.

The 376,000 Indians who visited Britain in 2006 are dwarfed by the number of Americans, 3.5 million of whom travelled to Britain in 2007.

However, whereas the average American tourist spent 710 pounds, the Indian traveller spent 793 pounds

Later this year, London will host India's largest travel agents' convention, the first time it has been held outside Asia.

Oz says.
Even tho the yanks get much cheaper petrol than Europeans.
With inflation of the money supply for deficit war spending against third world peoples and with the resulting collapsing US dollar value, the average American are it seems lucky if they can afford a trip to the shopping malls from their increasingly foreclosed mobile home camps.

Let alone a trip to Europe.

Even if they do get to the mall they find their credit card is maxed out anyway.
Days of empire just as for the old Brits are coming to an end.
